Reading this post makes me think back to that discussion we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as technology further develops, the possibility of downloading our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I dream about almost every day.

(Posted on Nintendo DS running r4i ds DS NetBlog)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6148797616690196169.post-17696969479853902562009-01-13T11:45:00.000-08:002009-01-13T11:45:00.000-08:00Oh -- I also still need to get the Dungen album. ...Oh -- I also still need to get the Dungen album. It reminds me that I saw three little kittens about to cross the street yesterday. They looked timid, and I was worried about them going on such a big adventure, but when I came by with the stroller, they ran back up the driveway of a house, which I’m glad they did because they shouldn’t be running out in the street anyway.

I love that Kelley Polar album. And Vampire Weekend! Whenever I listen that album, with each song, I say to myself, “Now, this is a hit.” Then the next song comes along and I say, “No, this is a hit.” And I keep doing that…

I love your articles in L.A. Record, especially your interviews. You’re such a good question asker.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6148797616690196169.post-43752826670451835852009-01-07T09:15:00.000-08:002009-01-07T09:15:00.000-08:00Good stuff, Thom. Also, I haven't even heard of Mirror Mirror or Lesser Gonzalez Alvarez, so I'll have to check those out.

My initial thoughts on the Kelley Polar album were poor, but perhaps I should give it another go. Which reminds me of that Morgan Geist record I never picked up.

Too many records.Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14468100826003845143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6148797616690196169.post-74645216797885452122009-01-07T08:37:00.000-08:002009-01-07T08:37:00.000-08:00Great list, T.
